There are two main types of cartridge faucets: one and two handle faucets. A single handle faucet operates in an up/down motion to adjust water volume and left/right motion to adjust the temperature. From outside, a double handle cartridge faucet is identical to a compression washer faucet. You can tell the difference by noting how the handle feels when used. A compression faucet requires you to tighten down the washer in order to close water flow while a cartridge faucet requires smooth and consistent action to close water flow. When you move the faucet for just ½ turn you are able to move the handle from on to off position.
Some customers found that the spray feature did not have a hold button on it when it was pulled out. The hold feature is important to many people who want to wash vegetables or foods and still have their hands free to handle other items. Another point was that the spray did not have enough power in the spray as they would like.
The Sprayer. You have to decide if you would like to have a pull out or a pull down sprayer. If you want to clean the larger pots and pans in the sink easily, you will need to get the pull out faucet as this kind of faucets allow high arc spouts. On the other hand, if you prefer a cleaner look for your faucet, then you should go for the pull down sprayer.
